Terms of service

Draft for counsel, 2026-09-25. Each open point starts with For counsel, with its code in our records where it has one.

These terms cover mappedmargin.com, our setup site at app.mappedmargin.com, and the starter path for solo operators and businesses under about 50 people.

For counsel (G02): the legal entity you contract with, its address, and who signs for it.

Using this site

The figures on this site are illustrative or estimates, and each says so where it appears. The sample Blueprint uses figures we invented, and the dashboard demo runs on sample data.

The demo builder estimates from your answers and typical figures for your size, and your real numbers replace its figures in the mapping session, or in the Audit for a larger company.

Using the setup site

The setup site is for solo operators and businesses under about 50 people. At more than 50 people you start with a discovery call instead.

You sign in with a link we email you, and your answers save as you go. After you pay, you can still change your answers, except your company size, and we see each change.

Leave passwords, card numbers and bank details out of your uploads.

The starter prices

On the starter path three prices apply, in US dollars:

  • The mapping session: 400, for 90 minutes on video. You get a one-page map of how your business runs and a starter list with each workflow's estimated saving, payback month and access level. It takes the place of the Audit. We charge it on its own, and it does not count toward your first agent's fee.
  • Your first agent: 1,500 to set up one of our three pre-built agents, Inbox triage, Invoice reminders or Lead follow-up. Each later one costs the same 1,500 to set up.
  • Each live agent: 250 a month, hosting included, with a six-month minimum.

You pay each in turn: the mapping fee before the session; the first agent's fee once the session is held and you have picked the agent and signed your starter proposal; and the monthly retainer once your agent is live. Stripe bills the retainer each month from the day you start it on your status page. Each agent's retainer runs six months at least from that day, then month to month.

We build nothing and charge nothing more until you pick rows from your starter list and sign a starter proposal. On the starter path you approve each action before it takes effect.

For a larger company, we quote the Audit after the discovery call, each build per row in the Blueprint, and the retainer in the proposal.

For counsel: the starter agreement a client signs before a build, which counsel drafts from our list of its points.

Paying through Stripe

You pay on Stripe's page, so your card number goes to Stripe and never to us. Each amount comes from our price at Stripe, and the retainer runs as a Stripe subscription. To change or stop the retainer, write to us at the address below.

For counsel: refunds, including a payment made twice for the same fee.

For counsel (G14): billing in advance or in arrears, the payment terms, and how a price change reaches a client who has signed.

Agents we do not build

We do not build an agent that approves spend, changes bank details, releases a payment, or signs a contract.

Leaving us

If another firm or your own team takes over, we hand over the files and complete control within 24 hours, and the agents keep running. The handoff ends the retainer, with no exit fee.

For a hosted client, your tool connections are grants to our registered app, so within the 24 hours you approve the same permission screens again for your next host.

For counsel (G14): the retainer's notice period, what you owe for the month in progress at a handoff, and the six-month minimum at a handoff. Our proposed reading: a handoff ends the retainer at any time with no exit fee, inside the six months as after them, and a client who stops the retainer without a handoff owes the months left.

For counsel (G14): who owns the agent code, the log and what the agents produce, and what we keep as our own tooling.

Liability and the law

These terms set no liability cap, indemnity, remedy or governing law yet.

For counsel (G14): the master agreement, with the liability cap, indemnity, and the remedy when an agent gets a case wrong.

For counsel (G02): errors and omissions cover, once a policy is bound.

For counsel: the governing law, and where a dispute goes.
